If the son is a victim of domestic violence, please encourage your friend to find the local domestic violence program closest to her child. She can call the National Domestic Violence Helpline (1-800-799-SAFE) to be connected to the closest program. They can provide advocacy and possibly some free counseling and will refer him to a mental health provider. It is up to him if he wants to work a plan to improve his mental health and current situation, but thank you for trying to help! Source(s): www.ndvh.org 3 years ago Great advice and help, thanks!

There's an old saying"what you eat is what you are",the things we consume obviously have an affect on our mood and if your not eating then you could suffer.Depression is only associated with emotional problems but food has important part to play as well, good question Elmy. 3 years ago Thanks Matthew. I last heard "you are what you eat" when discussing the transfiguration when I became a Catholic…Some useful answers from the other contributors here too.

Care packages come in two forms depending on the level of help the person is assessed to need. The two levels of need are standard and enhanced. The standard CPAis for people who require the support of only one agency. People on standard level will pose no danger to themselves or to others and will not be at high risk if they lose contact with the services. The input of the full multidisciplinary community health team with not be required – service users on standard CPA will generally require the support of one or two members of the team. The enhanced CPAwill be for people with complex mental health needs who need the input of both health and social services. People on enhanced CPA generally need a range of community care services. This group of people may include those who have more than one clinical condition and also those who are hard to link with services and/or with whom it is difficult to maintain contact. Some people on enhanced CPA are thought to pose a risk if they lose contact with the services. Generally speaking, enhanced CPA tends to apply to people with the more severe mental health problems such as schizophrenia or manic depression. In some cases, an enhanced CPA can gain you better entry to services. Source(s): http://www.rethink.org/living_with_menta… 4 years ago 1 person rated this as good many thanks. - Chosen by Voters I haven't heard of any medical studies with data, but I do know that many therapists do recommend cinema therapy – whether it's a movie they suggest that may help their patient, or simply one to watch for a release of emotion or what not. I've put a link to an interesting article about it, it lists a few books written – some by psychology experts, others by self help authors.
