- Chosen by Voters I wouldn't recommend Cigna. My dad's job has it and I'm covered under it. There were maybe 20 psychiatrist in the are and 95% aren't taking new patients. It's been really hard to find someone in network, to the point where I couldn't see someone when I really needed to. It might just be where I live [Northern Va] but I'm not happy with it at all. Plus if you get hospitalized, the only covered 1/3 of the bill. So now I have to pay $3, 000+ [for a 2 day stay!] because the meds made me crazy. Don't mean to let loose but it's been one thing after another for me. Good luck finding one!Aetna use to be good, thats what I had before. Maybe look into them. 4 years ago 100% 1 Vote

- Chosen by Voters Mental Health Therapist Certification and Licensure Although certification may not be required in some states, earning this voluntary award proves skills and development in counseling and may enhance employability. Certification may also be a requirement for licensure in some states, according to the NBCC. Therapists working in a public school are required to have a state school counseling certificate according to the BLS. Licensure requirements vary by state, but generally require earning a graduate-level degree, completing a fixed amount of training hours and then pursuing continued education. A license is required of therapists working in a non-school clinical setting in 49 states and the District of Columbia. Licensure is required by all 50 states and the District of Columbia for marriage counselors and family therapists.Show me suggested schoolsMental Health Therapist Training Becoming a mental health therapist usually requires a master's degree in counseling. Graduating from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) often helps meet state licensing requirements for mental health counselors.Ther is a lot more infromation on schools and specifics on this website. i hope this helps!http://education-portal.com/mental_healt… Source(s): http://education-portal.com/mental_healt… 5 months ago 100% 1 Vote

There have been people on Y!A that claimed they were licensed therapists, psychologists, and counselors. But how can one really know for sure? Yet, I have read some pretty great answers that either the person was in the field, or were extremely knowledgeable. There's no way to really say. (and not every professional will use their degree as a banner so you'll stand up and take note of their wisdom and presence, either.) I have seen people who claimed to be physicians, but gave out obviously erroneous answers, others are spot on in their replies. 3 years ago 1 person rated this as good Great answer thanks people

- Chosen by Voters Over analyzing things makes me anxious and sad. It is good to reflect, but try to find a balance. Focus on the good things about your life and what makes you happy, and spend time doing things you love. This can help change your perspective on things, and you may begin to realize that little things in life really aren't all that important! Good luck and stay positive! There's always something to smile about. 3 years ago 100% 1 Vote
